About Family Uncharted

Hi, I’m Catherine, the creative voice behind Family Uncharted. Along for the ride are my Irish-born husband Joe and our kiddos, PJ and Fiadh.

We love to travel, both near and far, and hopefully this blog can provide information to help you take your kids anywhere your dreams can take you.

I got tired of people saying that family travel was too hard and that traveling with small children was pointless. Family travel has its own challenges, sure, but we don’t ever shy away from them.

We travel a lot to Ireland, around Chicago, and to National Parks. These are our wheelhouse, but we have also traveled to many other cities and countries.
